Team Training and Effective Leadership


The purpose of this course is to develop personal leadership ability to form an effective team. Teamwork has defined keys that do not go just for the organization of individuals of a group, but rather must implement certain key strategies in the operation of the team. Through an experiential methodology (with outdoor training methodology) we learn to manage a diverse group to become an efficient team; we will go deep into the qualities of team leadership that each person has to strengthen to become a good group manager.

As Confucius said in the V century BC, to train a person we must keep in mind that “what you hear you forget, what you see is remembered and what is done is learned”. The outdoor training has become a model of consolidated corporate training and highly effective. It is the so called experiential training, which involves learning by doing. The experiential training does not have to be outdoors, but in this context has proved its potential and power.

Today, the outdoor training is not just outdoor activities, but the logical sequence of activities that make an intervention process, where conclusions are drawn that help  to improve personal and professional environments. This learning is also one of the aims of the course, as the powerful experiential methodology must be mixed with the development goals that we want to achieve.

The process benefits from the development in relaxed atmosphere where activities are carried out combining teamwork, healthy competition, leadership and communication and relationships. Those are relevant aspects for the management of human capital of a company.

Finally, the goal of individual self – assessment of qualities towards leadership for teamwork is another aim of the course.

After completing the course the participant will be able to:

  • Deepen in the organization of a group of people, their different types and different forms of action.
  • Understand the difference between managing a group and leading a team.
  • Learning team management tools such as goal setting group, division of roles and consensus in the procedures.
  • Get self – assessed as a team leader and encourage the development of trust and authority to do so
  • Learn how to improve relationships through the communication systems between members
  • Understand that the out – door training methodology is a powerful tool for personal development and it should be focused on defined goals.

Student Profile

ENAE Business School is very conscious of the fact that every teaching institution is built by all and must be very careful about participant selection right from the very start by analysing their CV, qualification certificates, admission exam and through a personal interview of the student by the program director. Depending on the program, ENAE Business School carries out tests to evaluate language competence.

Timetable: This course is delivered on Friday from 16:30 h. to 21:30 h. and Saturday from 9:00 h. to 14:00 h

  1. Theoretical presentations alternated with practical exposure so as to see their relationship with results in business. The interrelation between theory and practice is a methodology in which students must be involved. This methodological issue will be used for both business executives and professionals, and for recent graduates who want to join the same course.
  2. Several case studies are sent from those that companies have been facing in real life for students, with the relevant knowledge acquired, to do the analysis between the different lines of action that may arise and choose the one considered more realistic and adjusted to the case. The student should become accustomed to making decisions and understand the implications of them.
  3. Case studies and readings will be sent to participants through the virtual campus. At the same time chat forums or debate centres may be created on campus or virtual in which the views of the participants will be contrasted. . These tools will be used by the students to contrast their different points of view.
  4. Virtual Campus is a tool that allows a much more fluid relationship between students and teachers at personal and on line level.
  5. Teaching the course will take into account how the student intends to apply the knowledge acquired to the final project at the end of the Master.
